It gives me great pleasure to announce a course on Rasch measurement by Dr. Richard M. Smith of the Rehabilitation Foundation Inc. Richard received his Ph.D. in Measurement at the University of Chicago. He has extensive experience in the use of Rasch Measurement models. He is the founding editor of the Journal of Outcome Measurement, a member of the editorial board of Educational and Psychological Measurement, and co-founder of the Rasch Measurement SIG.
The workshop focuses on practical measurement issues and includes both theoretical and practical components:
* solving practical measurement problems, including item calibration
* item banking
* test equating
* computer adaptive testing
* item bias
* score reporting
* standard setting
* performance-based assessment
